The sword of the Spirit is powerful because it is the Word of God. It is living and active (Hebrews 4:12). It is sharper than any two-edged sword (Ephesians 6:17). And it has the power to transform our lives (Romans 12:2).

When we use the sword of the Spirit, we are relying on God’s power, not our own. And that is why it is so effective against Satan’s attacks.

How to Put On the Whole Armour
